Importing Excel 97 to Autocad 2005

I am trying to import around 100 Excel 97 drawings into Autocad 2005. We use Autocad DWG Viewer to view all of our drawings on our system here, and I want to avoid redrawing the 100 Excel files into Autocad. I have tried to import the Excel images into CAD but when trying to view with the DWG Viewer it just shows a blank image. Can anyone help me with this?

Have you tried the paste special function under the Edit menu? I think 2005 will allow you to paste the entities as AutoCAD entities. This may work. No guarantees

~nods~ like Richard said, 'Paste Special' as 'autocad entities' should bring your excell file in as an autocad table object, which should be viewable with the dwg viewer (although, you'll likely have to play with the formatting a bit after it's brought in). I'm not so sure about OLE's, which is what I am assuming you get when you just paste? care to tell us what steps you go through to bring it in? (and, btw, WOOHOO, I'm not the only dinosaur still running office 97)

DWG TrueView

DWF Composer

or

Something completely different.
