Back / Front Clipping not saving

Hey All,

I'm using OBSCUREDCOLOR and OBSCUREDLTYPE in tandem with front and back clipping to create sections and elevations of my model, but whenever I set the back and front clipping, it doesn't save it. It looks good while I'm adjusting it, but when I right-click and click "close", it snaps right back to where it was before. How do I save these clipping planes??

On an off note: While doing some research, I ran across "HALOGAP". What is this used for?
