Default Placing objects with respect to a point

Picture: A part with some holes cut in it
Holes are located with respect to x and y from a corner of the part

Question: Is there a way to place the holes without having to generate an offset line
intersection or use the move command twice?

Have you tried the FROM command modifier?

An another older method would be to place your hole at that corner and then MOVE or COPY from (base point) to @x,y.
