Inventor Wishlist at AU 2005

To All Inventor Wishlist contributors:

It's recently come to my attention that the Autodesk Mechanical Team is interest in seeing the wishlist we've compiled over the last year.

In an effort to facilitate this, I've compiled the wishes that have been posted. Feel free to rate these on a 1-10 scale (1 lowest, 10 highest). Click on the title to be taken to the actual post. Note that some are on the Autodesk discussion group.

On Friday I will take these these, and create an average score based on the votes and forward them on.

Feel free to add anything I may have missed. Please be concise and to the point, as this will make it easier for me to compile them on the last day.

Also please be honest in your ratings, as we probably won't get all our wishes, we don't want to skew the results.

I used Solidworks for 2 years until our parent company changed to Inventor. Part configurations are the one feature we greatly miss in Inventor.

Description: Configurations - Ability to have various versions of the same part, with different dimensions in the part.(as a part). This way we can have 1 part with multiple drawing associated with it.

How Used: Draw the part once, with various versions (dimensions in excel sheet), then create drawing of part, save as another part, change the part used in the drawing (from within the drawing), save as another....... etc etc.

Feature Affinity: Iparts, derived parts.
