A usable plant editor would be great or am I missing something?

Its in accurender, easy enough to find and very flexible though quite complex. I have made a couple of brightly coloured and very spindly trees by way of early practice, but it is very controllable once you experiment a little and read the (thin) manual.

The manual ? .... the thin manual ??
Just being a bog standard Revit user myself, where does one get the manual ?
Have you got the full Accurender programme separately ?

    Yep - two things

First - what Manual? Cheapskates at Autodesk think we don't need a manual in spite of the high software cost in Australian Pesos

    The Other
I agree Accurender is difficult to use but not impossible - however it is the inability to edit the plan view of the plant family without starting from scratch creating a 3D view that is the difficult part. It would be good to have access to the "Base Deciduous" family in order to create new families eg Evergreen Trees, Tall Shrubs, Low Shrubs etc

By manual I refer to the very small amount of online help that passes for an accurender manual.

And yes, a way of editing the plan view would be very welcome
