Detail Callouts not updating from sheets - 2006

I have placed a callout on a plan around a column which will refer to a detail which I had drawn previously. I set the callout to be a callout only and not generate a title. I made a view of that drawn detail in the project navigator, and dragged the callout from the plan view onto the detail, then dragged the detail onto a sheet. Then I placed a title on the view detail. the callout refers to the sheet just fine but the sheet with the detail title only has ? marks. why is that? If someone could tell me the proper order of ops for previously drawn details that would be great!

From memory...

The title needs to be added to the view before the modelspace view is dropped onto a sheet. You should be able to retrospectivley drag the title block (left click select then right click and hold on a grip) onto the name of the model space view in PN to update the fields in the callout.

If that doesnt work delete the viewport in the sheet, add your title again (should all be ? at this stage), then when you drop it back onto a sheet the ? will be replaced by sheet number and detail number etc.

Try dragging the callout onto the named view listed under the sheet on the sheets tab.
