line weights in imported rvt models

I have assembled a large apartment building from various separate unit types. The line weights show correctly in all plan views of the assembled building. However, sections cut through the building default to 'thin' lines for all the imported model elements. Drawn elements show with the expected line weights. I cannot find any way of controlling the display of these imported models. Am I overlooking something or can it not be done? I currently have to manually enhance the building sections. Incidentally, I have a similar issue with building elevations. Revit uses the same 'thin' line for elements in both the foreground and background.

hmmm....you might find the answer by going to Visibility .....selection the object object and to the right at the bottom is a button (I'm sorry I haven't got Revit in front of me a.t.m. so I can't give it's name)....this enables you to change the linetypes for sections etc.....
OOPS....just re-read and it's the imported objects...are they .dwg's?

In elevations, I'm afraid you have to rely on the pen-tool....Revit lets you decide on what's thick and thin....I agree with you that it is somewhat time consuming....

I would like to see this on the wishlist....an option for users to alocate lineweights according to distance from a cutting plane...(which is what Revit does for an elevation...it's a sectional view infront of the model).....maybe the users could set the distances from the cutting plane and alocate lineweights/types accordingly....I do get tired of having to go back to the elevations and re-apply lineweights everytime I make an amendment..

Thanks for the reply. Further investigation reveals that this 'problem' only occurs with the mirrored imported .rvt models in section. Oddly, it does not occur in plan. The solution seems to be to first mirror the models themselves and then import them.
