Default The big move to XP

We are currently in the process of 'upgrading' (and I use the term lightly) from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. Anyone have any suggestions for best practices / do's n don'ts? I'm looking for initial setup enhancements/settings.
    TIA

IMHO transition is very smooth. When we upgraded, we really didn't have to do anything just get up and go.

Brad, I'm going to move this from the software forum to this one as I believe it will be better served here.

    Good luck.

XP is very stable, but it will use more resources than 2K

If your hardware is old enough to still have 2K installed, it may not be up to running XP, AutoCAD, etc.

Is there some reason to upgrade the machines you have now from 2K to XP?

Are you buying new machines soon?

    Reasons:
    Remote Desktop
    Remote Assistance
Buying new computers with WXP + wanting all systems on the same OS = WXP upgrade
