Neil - you have invisible, unselectable (except by Qselect) Mtext objects on layer XREF1.

I've just crashed acad whilst trying to edit them to make them visible/selectable.

I've made them both plot the same size but I've not identified one unique cause of the problem. BTW the limits are set differently in each.

    Hi

    No worries...

Within the "bad" drawing file Thaw ( Unfreeze ) Layer Defpoints, you should be good to go then.

    Have a good one, Mike

    Mike

Thanks for your help. I should have picked up earlier. Lot of head banging on table unnecessary.

Have a good christmas and new year.

    Regards
    Neil

    Neil.

It would be worth checking these files thoroughly - there are several "dodgy" features in them.

    Enjoy your holidays.

    Hi John B

Had a good holiday and just read your message. When you say check the drawings thoroughly can you explain which checks I should do. I have got to this stage by a serious of bungling efforts which somehow got me to a stage so any help would be appreciated.

    Regards

    Neil

Hi Neil. Glad you had a good holiday.
I don't now remember exactly what I saw and, sorry, I can't do it now (I shouldn't even be in here since I have a houseful of guests).
As I recall - Limits don't quite match up to anything. There is a Point/node at top right not at bottom left. Leaders are on layer Xref1.

    Hi John

Thanks for your reply and apologies for you having to interrupt your holiday.

I will try to check the limits and other weird things in drawings. Workload tends to mean I dont get a chance to do things properly but work around problems.

Drawings appear to be printing okay at the moment so will leave alone right.

Thanks for your help and all othes on this thread, will consider it closed for now.

    Regards
    Neil
