    Anyone notice a difference between these two choices?

    Automatic will switch the display to show the current option that you are editing. Setting the override to primary will not allow the switch (i.e if you edit Option 2 it won't show Option 2). Setting the view to primary is often unnecessary because primary is what is displayed when you aren't editing any options.

    Thus the term "Automatic." And, it's a pretty cool feature. I've found that people living in Massachusetts are especially bright. (I grew up here, so I'm obnoxiously brilliant).
