First, I'd never pay $12K for a workstation. Maybe $4.

The dual 30" LCD monitors come out to almost half the cost of the total system. I could have just went with the dual 24" LCD monitors setup and saved $3,000.00; but I'm sure the 30" ones will reduce zooming times and allow for some serious multi tasking.

I know I have to wait for an Intel G?. I was just comparing their current top of the line workstations.

As far as spending that much on a system. Many people will have different opinions. I would rather spend more money up front to try and get better performance on my primary CAD system.

BTW I do like your idea about using the Mac mini's; but you would need a network license which will cost more to buy and maintain.
