How do you make shadows appear from objects out of view?

How do you make shadows appear from objects out of view? I'm trying to have some shadow from trees, which is behind the camera appear on the ground in front of the camera.

Any ideas and tips would be greatly appreaciated.

uncheck the view culling check box in the render setting, this causes accurender to consider elements outside of the cameras view.
