Recommend Graphic Cards - Budget is about $400 and planning to run ADT 2006 and Revit

I'm currently getting pricing on new workstations and I am in need of video (graphic) card advise. The budget is about $400. Planning to run ADT 2006 and Revit. Is there any brand better than another. What cards do some of you have, and what do you like or dis-like about them. I would like to use an ATI, but me station builder leaning towards NVIDIA. Any thoughts?

I would stick with ATI and get this for $440 : ATI Radeon X800XL (512MB).

IMO, ATI stands true to it's promises.

ATI FireGL 3100 is a better price and does great working with Revit and ADT (but not Need For Speed). RAM and processor is more important.

I know it's not certified by Autodesk and not supported by ATI because it doesn't say "FireGL" in the name, but things have evolved and this card will perform great. Search around for people who've tried sucessfully.

Have you looked at the Nvidia Quadro series.

That what I have and the resolution with the addition of an LCD monitor creates
really sharp graphics.
