Default Keeping Contractor Standards up to date

    Morning All,

Iam a drafting contractor currently working in another country. I have
other contractors/associates back home and we all use the same standards. Because we both work for the same clients now and then as our time permits to get there jobs done. In my time away, I have modified the standards I use for a particular client so they use the newer features of autocad as well as other small modifications over time.

My question is does anyone have any ideas about best way to keep all these
    things upto date?

I was thinking some sort of database or something. But if I add directories
or move things, I guess it will all get too hard to keep track. I was even
thinking of something along the line of what they have for those open source
progs that track modifications etc. Revsions.... But in reality not sure what ways to
    go.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi Scott V

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the CAD Mgmt. General forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

    Scott,

There are some programs that may be what you're looking for. I'm not sure if this will help, but try doing a search for Active Sync and RoboCopy. They help with placing files in multiple directories and synchronizing folders.

    I hope that helps.

    Scott,

I'm sorry, the program I was thinking of is SyncToy not Active Sync. There is also one called XXCOPY that looks pretty good too.

Active Sync is great for a PDA though.

Sorry, it's been a long week.
