    Default Education stamp

I drew a house for school and somewhere between my computer and the one at school I have developed an Education Plot stamp. I know how to remove the stamp but I lose formatting in the process. I've decide to build this house and want to submit the plans to the building department. If I buy an autocad license will it remove the plot stamp?

No. Content created in the EDU version cannot be used for commercial purposes. This should have been fully explained to the recepient of the EDU software.

Redraw it using the commercial version.

    Hi

You could try contacting your local reseller and explain the situation... you might get lucky...

Autodesk Educational and Not For Resale software

    Have a good one, Mike

I simply cannot redraw this plan. The cost of the license would be way less than an architect.

The reseller should NOT clean this drawing.

Doing so means that anyone can purchase an EDU version, work on an complex drawing for a year, then purchase a commercial license and have their dealer convert the drawing they did in the EDU version -- effectively giving the user a free license of AutoCAD for a year. Not what Autodesk has in mind [ http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...112&id=3268975 ]

Read your license agreement. The plot stamp is there for a reason. Content created in the EDU version shall not be used commercially. Doing so screws all the people and businesses who pay for the commercial versions.
