Creating Standard View Templates...are they worth it?

Hi all,

Next up on the list for the office standards march is view templates. I could imagine going way over the top on this one.

How good do you think the out of the box templates are? What is missing? Any landmines I should know about?

The OOB ones are good but probably not based on your own practice.
And yes they are definitely worth it.

I guess the one I'd be concerned about is assuming that you can use one to change just scale or just a few things. They apply all the changes that are part of the view template. I usually create new ones from views that look exactly the way I want rather than duplicating a template and editing them.
