Question Wall cleanup between walls in xref

Please see attached zip. x51311BF.dwg Is the host file, with xrefs attached. The walls will not cleanup properly with each other. Items checked:
    Cleanup group definition
    Cleanup Automatically
    elevation
    wall style
    Graphline position
    No wall merge conditions present

The source file walls cleanup, yet when loaded as xref, walls appear to not cleanup.

I noticed when playing with the display order of the walls in the source dwgs, by sending walls to the front/back of the draw order they would appear to cleanup. Even editing the xref in place in the host dwg & playing with the draw order, they seem to cleanup, yet when saving changes they are back to not cleaning up.

    Steve,
I'm not sure what's wrong with them, but when I open your x51311bf file, I didn't have any red circles of death. When I went to a 3d view, I didn't see any lines out of plane. On a whim, you may want to copy and paste in to a clean template. That's worked for me before in that past when I can't figure what I did.
Now, I did notice some red lines at your wall intersections that did seam a little odd. What I did find there is that if I turned off the "Stud Hatch" component the lines were gone. Now with regards to the "bump out parts" not cleaning up with the main wall, I tend to think the the problem (if that's the problem) is related to the graphline. It's turned on. So your drawing appears to not be cleaning up. I turn that off, and couldn't find anything wrong.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks David! Sometimes the simplest solution gets overlooked. I tried copying/pasting into a new file & it worked. It doesn't answer the question of why, but it at least lets us move on. If I ever figure out what caused this, I'll post back in here. BTW, I never was getting a red circle of death, the shrinkwrap lines just weren't cleaning up.
