    Default .3ds exporting from VIZ2006

    Gidday,

I've got a VIZ model generated from a file linked Revit model. When I try and export .FBX it crashes VIZ without an option to save. When I export it to .3DS, which is what I need, there are enormous numbers of elements missing..

Is there something I should be doing before I export?

If I export as a DXF and import the DXF as a new model .FBX exports correctly. .3DS still fails to export the complete model. So I think it's something to do with the linked DWG's?

    Any ideas appreciated.

Have you tried permanantly binding the model first? My guess is that the .fbx format does not know what to do with a linked model.
