Are you looking for the Express Tool command NCOPY?Originally Posted by Steve_Bennett
That was all the person gave me to go one. I really hate guessing games. I'll go probe some more...Originally Posted by jaberwok
What does it do? If I knew what it did, I'd know if I'm looking for it...Originally Posted by Maverick91

Below is taken from the AutoCAD Express Tools Help File...
Have a good one, MikeNCOPY
Copies objects nested in an xref or a block.
Select nested objects to copy: Use an object selection method
Specify base point or displacement, or [Multiple]: Specify a point, or enter M for multiple copies
Second point of displacement: Specify a point
It's getting clearer. No, it's not similar to ncopy. It's closer to the command "Paste to Original Coordinates". The difference is it would address the issue of having rotated your UCS. Let's say you have linework in drawing A & you want to copy it to drawing B. Both drawing A & B has the building elevations done in a pinwheel layout around the buidling floor plan. If you used copy vector to copy linework from A to B & B had the drawing UCS rotated 180 degrees, it would address the rotated UCS & still place the line work in the same location in B as it was drawn in A.
Clear as mud?
Brother Steve - that sounds just like the way acad behaves anyway. Have you tried it?
Nope, sorry Brother John. I just tried it to confirm my thought. If you copy linework from dwg A, go to dwg B, rotate the UCS 180 around the z axis & use paste to original coordinates, you will not get the linework back in the same location/orientation as dwg A.Originally Posted by jaberwok
Maybe not the correct location but you should get the correct orientation - it's a start.Originally Posted by Steve_Bennett
