There's what we call the ProductStream Creator and Reviewer
The PS Creator is a standalone application used primarily for PLM (track lifecycle state changes, etc.)
    PS Reviewer is web-based
it depends on the company's workflow on how Productstream can be implemented to suit your needs

    Hello,
Productstream currenlty comes in three flavors: Creator, Reviewer, and Explorer. Creator and Reviewer are thick clients that will run stand alone and have plug ins for Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Electrical, and vanilla autocad. Creator and Reviewer differences are in the permissions to the Item Master and edit capabilities. Productstream Explorer is the thin web client that views only released data. This is ideal for shop floor use. Hope this answers your initial quesitons.

I started off today looking for help on issue that occurred on one of our PC's where we have stand alone installs of AutoCad. Out of the clear blue this user gets a message saying "A license system error has occurred. You must uninstall and reinstall this product to initialize the license management system. If this problem continues, contact your system administrator or authorized Autodesk product dealer." We uninstalled a reinstalled the stand alone AutoCad 2007 but we don't get the Activate/register wizard when we open the program. We have our original installation disks but are stuck in a loop of uninstalling and re-installing with no relief coming from a fresh install. I did see another subscriber(?) with the same problem and the first response said the query had been moved to Productstream but I don't find it. Any help on this for a new AUGI user?
