project north and true north arrow symbol

I am having troble trying to combine the following 2 symbols into 1 sysmbol. What i want is to have both sybmols together and have the ability to rotate the 2 symbols independant of each other (ie rotate project north off true north as they are ususally slightly skewed).

Can anyone help me make this symbol? So far all i can think of is keeping them seperate and inserting them over top each other.

without downloading and looking at your files, I can tell you that we nested a project North symbol into our North arrow and added a parameter for the project North rotation. See attached.

Jim,
We're trying to re-engineer your generous tag. When I try to edit the annotation symbol for True North, I can't edit the annotation family. I cannot even save it out to a file. Any help? What am I missing?

well i made it a little further. after seeing the reply it occured to me to add the north arrows into the symbol as families. as i assembled the arrows toghether and added parameters to them, but it seem that i can only get the rotation parameter to one of the arrows, and not the other.

is this part of the symbol restrictions that i can only get one item to rotate at a time? it is not a big deal because i could rotate the symbol on the sheet, but it would be great if i could get them both to rotate.

Could someone take a look and tell me if i did something wrong?
