Question Changing object colours in blocks

I have a floor plan drawing that I would like to change to colour 8 or 9 so I can visibly draw over it. I usually just use "chprop - all - colour" but most of this floor plan is made up of blocks.
Is there is a way to change the colour of objects in multiple blocks quickly and easily?

    Hi

Some of the following should prove useful...

Changing block entities' color to bylayer

    Colors Bylayer

Change colour of all entities within a block

    Have a good one, Mike

Depending on what version AutoCAD you are using, use either REFEDIT or BEDIT to edit the block definition.

I am only using Acad LT so REF EDIT is not working.
    Is there an LT alternative?
    What else could I do.
    Thanks for replying!

    Hi

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD General forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

I've written a quick and dirty utility in VBA that allows you to quickly change the Color/Layer/Linetype of all of the entities that comprise any block(s) in your drawing file. Since you're using LT, you won't be able to run it, but if you have access to a regular AutoCAD station in your office, you can find BLOCKENTPROPS on my website ( www.texupport.net ).

If you simply can't get your hands on an AutoCAD station, you might try redefining the block elsewhere, inserting it via the INSERT command (selecting "YES" to overwrite), and then running attsync to catch any ATTDEF entities.

No I don't have access to AutoCAD at all (Boss won't pay to upgrade either! . . .)
There are far too many blocks to warrant sorting them all separately (Doors, windows, furniture the entire drawing is made up of blocks) - is there nothing I can do?
