    Angry Plot via SSM - Plot and publish complete. errors and warnings found.

    i had this problem before, and thought it was fixed but it's back again. i try and send plots through the sheet set manager, it sends maybe 3 or 4 of them and then i get "plot and publish complete. errors and warnings found". i fixed the problem temporarily by importing a profile from a machine that did not have this profile, but now it's happening again.
    any ideas?

    Hi

    I assume you are referring to this thread ( Plotting through sheet set-sends 3 drawings and crashes )...

    Try...

    * Exporting your bad AutoCAD profile ( .ARG ).
    * Exporting a good AutoCAD profile ( . ARG ).
    * Compare the two.

    What happens if another user Plots the drawings via SSM ?

    What happens if another user logs onto your computer and Plots the drawings via SSM ?

    What happens if you log onto another users computer and Plots the drawings via SSM ?

    other users can plot through ssm with no problem, if i log on to another machine i get the same problem, but if someone else is logged on to the same machine it works fine

    Hi

    Therefore look at comparing your bad AutoCAD profile with a good AutoCAD profile...

    this might be a dumb question...but how do you "compare" two profiles?

    Hi

    Personally, I do not believe there is such thing as a "dumb question"...

    Exported AutoCAD profiles ( .ARG files ) are very similar to Exported Registry files ( .REG ), therefore you can open them in a Plain Text Editor ( NopePad would work ) and compare their contents.

    ok, now i really don't know what's going on. i have tried four different profiles, and they all do the same thing. is there a way to get more detailed error information that could help to figure out what's wrong?

    Question Re: Plot via SSM - Plot and publish complete. errors and warnings found.

    Hi

    Have you successfully managed to compare a bad AutoCAD profile with a good AutoCAD profile ?

    If yes, are you saying above, the contents of the two profiles are identical ?

    Cool Re: Plot via SSM - Plot and publish complete. errors and warnings found.

    the CAD manager at my company and I tried all of this and finally ended up reinstalling AutoCAD, which fixed the problem temporarily.

    we've been having this problem here where somehow Map spontaneously switches to Land Desktop, and the fix we've been given is to go to menuload, remove all of the menus, close autocad and come back in.

    once i had that problem and applied this fix, my problem with publishing came back.

    Hi

    Have you looked at setting up something along the lines of...

    * Company Standard Profiles for each Autodesk product.
    * Company Standard Desktop Icons for each Autodesk product.

    Then start-up the relevant Autodesk product using the relevant Company Standard set-up.

    If something then goes pear-shape you can always easily revert ( switch ) back to the relevant Company Standard set-up for that Autodesk product.

    Have a good one, Mike
