Layout Viewport Inside Another Layout Viewport

I'm trying to create a viewport inside the boundry of another viewport. The problem is that the new viewport does not block out, meaning that anything I put in the new viewport is behind what is in the first viewport.

I'm looking for a way to wipeout everything behind the new viewport, only wipeout will not work? Any help would be appriciated.

Try creating a region with the a hole the size of the interior viewport. You can then use this region to clip the larger boundary.
