I'm remodeling a cabin, the walls are flat wood siding right now to be changed to real log siding walls, is there a way to show the siding in the existing floor plan, the siding been demo in the demo plan and the log siding in the new floorplan, all this been the same wall??

For the log walls I created sweeps with the log profile in the wall structure and repeated them up to the desired height of the wall, which worked great and to my surprise, I went to the 3D view, selected the wall, every sweep had its own grip handle, I pulled it and that single sweep was stretched, so at the corners I was able to fake the overlapping of the logs by pulling every single grip, now I'm thinking on ceating a new wall that starts with the bottom profile as half of the log, so every other wall will be this type and I will get a "real overlapping".

warning: this is a messy work around but thus far the only way I've been able to accomplish what your asking.
    - Create a separate wall type (i.e. siding) which only represents the siding to demo and another (i.e. structure) that represents everything remaining.
    - Place the 'structure' wall and then place the 'siding' wall right next to the structure and align the faces
    - Demo the siding wall
    - Create a wall type (i.e. logs) that represents the new real logs and place it in the same fashion the 'siding' wall was placed.
keep in mind 'structure' should be created in the existing phase and never demo'd, the 'siding' should be created in the existing phase and demo'd in the demo phase, and the 'logs' should be created in the new construction phase and never demo'd
Hopefully the phasing tools will get expanded in future releases to support partial demo of objects. I've been meaning to add this to the wishlist for sometime but never seem to get around to it.
