    Default Survey issues!

Where can data be imported and exported, at this stage only trimble can get any type of file in which is the .fbk still using the trimble link and the database allows .fbk only

As it stands on my installation of CIV3D 2007 there is no data collection link, this was provided by the old survey 2006 add on. Where does this exist in 2007?

How else can RAW files from other instruments be imported and converted? does anyone else have this issue?

IIRC - this topic was addressed during the live webcast that focused on the survey features of 07. [4/07/06 - Digging in to Civil 3D 2007 Survey Capabilities]

However among all the archived webcasts, I don't see this particular one. Maybe it hasn't been archived yet...?

    Cool Re: Survey issues!

You can import points in ASCII text file format using the POINTS / CREATE POINTS / IMPORT command however there does not appear to be any way to apply the Figure Prefix Database for creation of linework.

We definately must be able to work with many file types other than the .fbk format!!

I'm not sure but I think the 'Carlson Connect' add-on may have some conversion routines in it, but I see it is not available for the 2007 version of C3D yet. See the following site:
