2D drawings not showing in 3D DWF model..made in revit

Why can't I see my 2D plans that I placed in my REVIT model (from cad) when I export the model as a 3D DWF model? I can not find anything that indicates it should not show - in revit or composer. If it shows in my REVIT 3d model why does it not show in my composer model. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED IMAGE OF TWO MODELS.

One possible reason, and I'm just guessing here, is that it's not model geometry... it's just 2D line work... then again, I would expect Model Lines to appear in the DWF so maybe this has nothing to do with it.

Thank you for the response. The line work was imported from AutoCAD. However, I also used the model text tool and place text within the model - it does not show in the DWF model either. I'm still learning Revit, but maybe I should have made a component out of the lines imported from cad - do you think that would have been better? Can I do that?

It just seems like it would be a "visibility/export setting" that I just don't have set correctly. I have looked all through those options, tried different things - to no avail. Thanks for your response, any help is greatly appreciated.
