Have you tried renaming the file with a DWG file extension?

    Hi

Look at changing the file extension from .AS$ to .DWG

Just checking here, are you sure about the .AS$ file extension... I only ask as .SV$ is the standard file extension for an AutoCAD Autosave file.

ID: TS31672 - Opening an autosave (SV$) file in AutoCAD LT

    Have a good one, Mike

Maybe he meant AC$ (temporary files extension) but as Mike said, the AutoSave Files extension have SV$.
