Default Opening drawings in windows taskbar

    Hi everyone
I had to reinstall ADT 2006 and lost some of my custom settings. One of the setting which I really miss is the ability to open multiple drawings the windows taskbar at bottom of the screen and act a separate applications. An example of this would be if you had 3 drawings open each would be a tab in the windows taskbar.
I have forgotten how I did this or what switch I turned on or off

    any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

The windows taskbar at bottom of screen, where the program names goes to when you minimize a program or listing of programs running when several are being used. Some have it along the bottom of the screen.
Maybe I did not explain myself clearly, when one opens several drawings each are nested in the main drawing screen window. There is a switch which will cause ADT to open a drawing as if to start a new version of the ADT program to run.. This allows you to switch between drawings just by clicking on the appropriate drawing name in the taskbar.

    Hope this helps

As in (from the help file):

Controls how drawings are displayed on the Windows taskbar

    Command line: taskbar

Enter new value for Taskbar <0>: Enter 1 to display multiple open drawings as separate items on the Windows taskbar

The default setting, 0, displays only the name of the current drawing on the Windows taskbar.

Hi "blanni" ( Sorry, I do not know your real name )

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD Customization forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

Wink Re: Opening drawings in windows taskbar

Sounds like an updated version of that old Abbot and Costello routine.

Abbot: What is that setting for getting multiple drawings listed on the taskbar in AutoCAD?

    Costello: "TASKBAR"

Abbot: Yes, the drawings should be listed individually on the taskbar. What is the command?

    Costello: "T A S K B A R"

    ....
