Default Object Table Data to Properties box

    Afternoon All,

Here's a blast from the past I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with. I have a surveyor working with CAD on a laptop equipped with AutoCAD Map2000i. We're creating object data to attach to features in advance of exporting them as ESRI shapefiles into GIS.

Tagging the features is fine, very similar to the way in which one enters object data in CAD 2004 (with which I'm more accustomed). For ease of use though I would like to have the object table data displayed in the properties box, as it is with 2004.

Can anyone recommend a method or tool I can use to accomplish this?

    Cheers

    Hi

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD Customization forum to this one, as I believe it will be better served here.

I believe Importing and Exporting of ESRI shape files are functions within Autodesk Map ( and Autodesk products built on Map technology ). If I have this incorrect, I will happily reverse the action I have taken.

    Thanks, Mike

I don't know if the properties palette in 2000i was programmed to display object data. If it doesn't show up, I suspect this is the case.

You can always use the Edit Object Data command (ADEEDITDATA) to view the object data.
