Thumbs up Multi pline edit default

AutoCAD gave us the copy command with it defaulting to multiple. What about the same for the pedit command. It seems like every time you use the command, your going to select several polylines anyway (well, in my case anyway).

Just one less keyboard click needed.

I didn't know about that command. It seems that it always asks to convert object into polylines, even though they are already polylines. I still think that this should be changed in AutoCAD. The express tools also had the multiple copy, but people still wanted the copy command changed by default to do multiple.

    Hi Glenn,

I didn't know about that command. No worries.
It seems that it always asks to convert object into polylines, even though they are already polylines. Yes MPEDIT ignores the PEDITACCEPT system variable and this should be rectified. The MPEDIT command is a lisp file in the Express Tools directory & someone with good lisp skills should be able to modify it to check the variable. I took an easier approach though in this post on the Autodesk Discussion Groups http://discussion.autodesk.com/threa...hreadID=337026
I still think that this should be changed in AutoCAD. I'm happy to agree to disagree & that is the beauty of the voting system. I rarely edit multiple polylines.
The express tools also had the multiple copy, but people still wanted the copy command changed by default to do multiple. A lot of people were very unhappy when it happened which can be seen on the Autodesk Discussion Groups. I don't know which side has the numbers. Again I don't use multiple copying but the change did not impact me only because I was already using a custom copy command.

What I would prefer to see is a system variable that controlled whether to use multiple mode.

Now THAT gets my vote - can you post this as a separate wish list item??

    Thanks
