Re-Install AutoCAD 2007 using a different Company name

If I reinstall AutoCAD 2007 and use a different company name (license name), will I get a license error?

Initially I would say no because I have seen various different configurations of a company name in the user info dialog during install. My previous company had over 250 users so I had many opportunities to trouble shoot computers. During the setup I have seen the acronym for the company, the abbreviated form, complete form with Inc at the end and even name of the company with the parent company attached. However, with the need for better security against pirated software it may be more critical, but I doubt it.

You'll be fine. I have a dozen variations of my current company name and never have any idea which one I'll use until I actually start typing it. Its security is based on other properties associated with AutoCAD and your computer system.

Re-install went fine. I also up dated the bios and video. That also seems to help

It turns out that the Company name at Help-About is updated, but the license name remains the same. It uses the company name from the first installation.
