In all seriousness, this is another reason why Revit needs an internal hatch pattern generator. I can feel Scott's pain. How much time did he waste going back and forth, back and forth...?

I've had similar issues and kept fiddling with the pattern until I found one that eventually scaled.

I guess I'll be doing a lot of drafting. Thanks for everyones help. Please submit support requests those who have hatches that won't scale, so we can get this issue addressed asap.

ps I placed a wishlist item in the wish forum.

I hope this is in time to cut the drafting effort.

By constaining the generated pattern geometry to fit observed contraints we were able to load the attached hatch pattern definition into Revit at 1:1 scale. This pattern is similar to the originally posted pattern, except that the distance between the horizontal lines is now 16" with the diagonal lines at slightly different angles.

We will build this development into the next version of HatchKit by which time we may be able to indicate where boundaries lie. We suspect larger patterns are feasible within Revit's constraints.

You guys are awesome, thank you. Have you thought about contacting autodesk to design them a hatch pattern creator for revit?
