hi guys

When you start your stair from just about any style, go to the properties box, and select "spirl". I believe the default is set to either multi landing or straight.
hi dave
thanks for the info, tried to do the spiral and it's a nightmare, ive instead 3d modeled it using my survey notes by using 3d masses
I've attached my attempt at the spiral stairs but can't seem to get the stair railings to work
can some please give me some pointer of how to get he railings to look smoother please as ive spent over an hour trying to figure this out
You Need ACAD/adt 2007. All those new 3d objects for you.
See attached. I'd attach the DWG, but its 2007 format. And don't forget to get a much more powerful computer to crunch them. It took my PC forever to make and then PDF that spiral.
Take a look at this...I don't have time to continue, but I think you could tweak this and then detach the railing anchor and move it over to your stairs made out of mass elements.

From what i can see from the cad file is that you may of made mass elements of the hand rails and vertical post and converted it into a railing style?
am i correct?
I created a stair to match as close as possible to your mass element stair. I then attached a handrail to it. No rocket science. When you tweak it enough to match your mass elements, detach the anchor and copy it over to your stair.
