Default Acad.exe still running 24 hours after shutdow.

Yesterday I had both A2006 and A2007 running. I closed them both down normally (I don't remember in what order, though). The pc was left running a background task.
24 hours later, start work with Word, Outlook, Firefox but NOT acad. Everything is very slow so CTRL-ALT-DEL and taskmanager shows that acad.exe is using 98% of the processor time. Terminating the process restored everything to normal.

    Strange, eh?

That is wierd ...I also have a little problem specifically with A2006 opening...Whenever it opens really slow, I open up the processes and turn off WSCommCntr1.exe and it opens up fine...Anyone else with a similar problem?
