Default 2000 DWG, TTF Style swiss heavy maps to another font in AutoCAD 2005

Hello i wonder if anyone can help me. I have been given a Acad2000 dwg its title block font
is TTF Style swiss heavy, but when opened in Acad2005 the text is replaced with points and old lines.
I am running on windows 2000 pro and have checked the font directory all the swiss styles are present. I have checked fontalt and it is mapped to simplex.
Is this some kind of proxy font problem.

    Thanks in advace

Thanks for the reply Mike. Yes i have checked the location of acad.fmp and mapped to it.
Still not having much joy, i am not even getting any substitute errors on opening the drawing the text previews but is replaced by odd points vertically down the right edge of the page.

    Hi

    No worries...

Just checking, have you Opened up Acad.fmp and taken a look at its contents ?

What happens if someone else in your office Opens the drawing file ?

Is it possible to post the drawing file, so we can take a look at the issue / problem, first-hand ( so-to-speak ).

    Have a good one, Mike

Also, open HELP, and search for "Substitute Fonts", then open the page titled Substitute Fonts - Concepts (in the User's Guide).

In addition to the regular content, at the bottom of this page is a table explaining the differences in, and order of, font substitution for SHX and TTF fonts.
