Not without using a macro recorder.

You could get a keyboard with media buttons - one of them is always assigned to volume. There is also a control panel option to turn off system sounds.

    Download MUTE.EXE.

After that you can run it from AutoCAD from a toolbar button or shortcut key.

    Code:
    (startapp "c:\\mute.exe")
...or create a shortcut in Windows, and use a key combination to run it.

Run it once to mute and a second time to UNmute.

I am never going to need it, but that small executable is great to have in my archives in case I can pass it along. Thanks for posting.

My Microsoft Keyboard (model:RT2300) has a button on it to mute sound. Most "Multimedia" keyboards offer this type of function button
