Post Wall vanishes when exporting to AutoCAD

    Hi,

I have one wall in my basement with windows that does not show up when I export the plan view to AutoCAD. The windows show up though. I copied the wall in Revit and the copy does show up in AutoCAD. So I wonder what's going on - corrupt wall that is not corrupt as a copy?

    Thanks for you help,
    Axel

Make sure your layer settings (via the "export" dialog box) are just right before exporting.

What is the cut plane set at?

    Peter,

the cut plane is set at 4' above the basement level. Top offset is at 7'-6" and bottom offset at 0'-0" [basement level]. The view depth offset is 0'-0".

I found a way to fix it, but don't know if it's just a workaround for this one particular problem:

For one I had set the bottom of all exterior basement walls to be a foot below the basement level and created a floor inside of the exterior walls. Later I inserted a toposurface and learned about the Building Pad tool. I created a pad and deleted the floor I had previously created because now the toposurface responds perfectly to the pad.

All basement walls now overlap with the building pad. That might be the mistake, but with one exception all other walls show up fine after I export them to AutoCAD. I raised the bottom of the one wall to basement level and it now shows up as well.

Now when I think about it, I doubt it has to do with the building pad or the toposurface, because I already had that non-exporting line problem before I created the toposurface.

Thanks for hanging in there with me,
    Axel
