Default Fields / Tables into Excel

Is there a way to take the contents of a table/fields and automatically populate the correct cells in an excel template?

I want to get away from recreating the same data and calculations in an excel
spreadsheet that I have previously created in an autocad table.

Currently I end up copying and pasting several values inside Autocad to excel, one at a time.

It's not automatic but you can export a table to a comma separated file format and then open it in Excel.

Highlight table and right click. Select export and save the name and location for the file.

    Hope this helps

Yes, I saw the export feature. I would however have to change the format
of my spreadsheets to imitate the AutoCad tables.

I was hoping to give the data a new look and feel in excel.

I would like the numbers to automatically populate certain cells.

Example: take cell A1 from AutoCad table and put in in cell C6 from excel file.

I always have the same table in AutoCad and the same template in excel.

    Hi Robert

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD 2007 General forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike
