I'm new to Revit, but I need to find a tutorial on how I can extract quantities from a revit model.
They will be used for estimation.
Thanks

One of your eaiest and possibly quickest solution is to take a look at the Export to ODBC.
You can set up your entire project to export to Excell or any form of Database.
That will hold all information realting to your objects etc.
Thanks. I was able to get some data out but not sure if it is what we need or not. I will give it to the estimator and see if he can use it.Originally Posted by Phil Palmer
Thanks again.
What do I do with this example? Import it into Revit? I'm a little bit mixed up.Originally Posted by dhurtubise

Have you tried the new material takeoff tool in version 9.0?
The file is a database. You'll need Access or some such animal to use it.Originally Posted by dtownsend
