We're still waiting for the IT guy to come and install it. I hate when an update requires admin rights

A couple of other trick I have found is if you select other object (while still highlighted) then select the one you want to edit. Then you can deselect everything. Sometimes that works. A few times zooming out and back in will work.

This is one of two major problems we where having. We also couldn't print from model space to our 1050c.

Me, too. IT guys here got a little tired of all of my very unique set of problems, and just caved and gave me admin rights. Everyone else is jealous.
But, honestly, if I break something, I break it gooood. None of this, I just hadn't restarted my pc in 8 months junk they're used to dealing with.

The sad thing is when I have a problem, someone from IT comes down, logs into my computer as admin, leaves my desk, I sit down and fix the problem. He comes back makes sure I'm logged out admin and leaves.

Okay, I never did figure out what was causing this to stall in my previous attempts, but, I tried again today, and viola!

We were lucky here in the office. No problem installing the update. At home was a different story. I would keep hanging after inserting the first CD the second time. I finally copied both CDs onto the hard drive. Then it started asking for files that couldn't be found on the CDs. I did find them in a temp folder and copied them over. Then it installed
