Line does not change to Batting Linetype

Hello

I was trying to change the layer properties and I loaded batting linetype. But in the line type itself the line type is showing . . . . . . instead of /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ and in the drawing also it is not getting changed, and I dont know why it is happening. I tried all my ways to sort it out by cleaning the drawing and all but the problem still persist.

If anybody can help me in this matter I will be happy.

Does this just happen in one drawing or in all?

Doe you mean the line type in the toolbar shows dots?
