Default Filled Region Hatch NOT showing up

I have a co-worker who is experiencing a problem with filled regions on
section and detail views. I went in and drew a filled region (that was
created with a concrete hatch pattern) and it creates fine. But when you
    finish, the hatching disappears.

Strangest thing is that when you pick it (as if you were then going to
click the edit button) the hatch shows up. If you hit escape to
de-select it, the hatch pattern disappears again.

Is this a known problem with R-9, and does anyone have a fix for this...

    Thanks

Did you check the properties? Sounds like the hatch pattern might be set to white. If you select the region and the pattern highlights in red, I'd susspect that will be the problem.
