    Default 3D Component Manager

    Group;

    I wish I had an integrated 3D component (style) manager (similar to how the detail component manager works).
    All the styles for every component would be pre-linked by the factory.
    No need for pre-loading any styles.

    Let me know what you think.

    Default Re: 3D Component Manager

    Group;

    I wanted to clarify my wish and point out some more things.
    If we had this 3D component manager we would have the following features as well.

    1- By having all the styles pre-linked with this component, all your design tools would be linked as well. You could use either one and have full access to all the different component categories, types and sizes.

    For Example:

    Structural beam, column and brace tools would be linked to all the structural members in the structural catalog. With the properties palette you could change the category (wood, steel or concrete), type (WF, tube, angle, etc.) and have access to all the member sizes.

    Walls, doors, windows, roofs, slabs, railings, stairs, ceilings, etc. would all work the same way. You never would have to load any styles.

    Template file sizes would be reduced dramatically.

    You could easily search for a tool with the 3D component manager similar to the 2D component manager.

    The file structure would be broken down into the CSI division standard.

    Please let me hear some of your thoughts.
