Default Part of Border is missing from Plot Preview and Plotted output

In the firm that I work at, there is a predefined border that is inserted around the actual work. Sometimes, when plot previewing before printing, it shows the top part of the predefined border as missing. And then sometimes when I send the plot to the plotter, the border comes out with the missing part and sometimes not. What am I doing wrong. It is 2004 that does that.

If you are using pre-defined plot styles, then I would suggest that the Border is not located consistently at the origin. Either that or the plot scale is going a bit off beam. Also worth checking is the plotter margins, the plotter needs a bit of spare paper around the edge so it can pull the paper through, make sure this is the same for each of your plot profiles.

Bit a investigation is needed here I would suggest. Look at the page size's against the paper size. As has been suggested check the margins of the plotter configuration and origin of the drawing. As a quick check try plotting (scale to fit) and see what the ratio is, this should be a quick indicator for you. You might also have a spurious object outside of the page that is affecting the print. There are a lot of different things that can cause the problem you're suggesting and as you can tell there is no real -just do that-. If its urgent then use the time old fashion of FUDGE IT.

Let us know how you get on.

Try selecting A1 or A0 "oversize" instead of normal A1 or A0 paper format in the plot dialog box.
