I would like to have a rotation parameter for my view port's display. That way if I have a view that is vertically in model space, it can be displayed horizontally in paper space.

Can you rotate the ucs in the viewport?
or am i not understanding the request?
he's right... rotate your UCS to the desired orientation and then issue the PLAN command and use the current (or a saved) UCS to orient the view within the viewport accordingly
I just needed to have my view set to follow the UCS for it to work.

I still feel a rotation parameter in the properties dialog box would be nice to have.
Rotating your view in a viewport is about as intuitive as giving a blind man a book to read without any braile. I agree a rotation option for the viewport on the properties palette would be stellar!
