Unable to delete unwanted Objects from a drawing

I have a drawing that has loads of little lines on it, that I am unable to delete. I have tried deleting the layer they are on, but it says I can't delete as there are things on the layer. I have also tried to purge, but that hasn't worked either.


Any suggestions?

Can you select the lines but not delete them or can you not select the lines at all?

You could try making that layer current and freezing the rest then delete all. Hopefully that will remove them. If not check whether the layer is locked or if they are asscociated with a block.

beldin - I have tried to freeze the other layers and delete, but that didn't work, any other suggestions?

can you post a copy of the drawing, sounds like a mystery to me.

If the lines are on only one or two layers and there is nothing else on those layers, freeze those layers and Wblock the entire drawing to a new file by windowing the entire drawing. There is a risk of losing things that you want to keep so select carefully.

There is still the reason why it didn't happen i the first place I guess. If you could post the drawing anyway I'd love to try to track it down just for my own peice of mind
