Convert a PDF into a DWG

Hi guys,
I received a few pdf. files with dwgs. that embedded within. Is it possible to convert (or scan) so it became editable?( since drawings show the casting of a objects so it is difficult to work with when they are not to scale).

You will never get a pdf to be back to the perfect scale that AutoCad creates them in, you can get it close, however, as long as you have the software to do it. The only thing I have found that does this is Adobe Illustrator, which will convert pdf's back to vector format.

is that program an expensive add on or a stand alone to adobe?

Illustator is a separate application from Adobe like Acrobat and Photoshop.

It's not as expensive as Photoshop, but it ain't too cheap neither. Retails from Adobe website at $499, which is £1-38 in English, I think....

CorelDraw can convert pdf to dxf as well, but ghostscript seems to do a much better job.
