Default Dashes in custom linetype move when Plotted

The company I work for has some unique line type to show raised pavement markings on
our plans. The problem is they have dashes in the line type that when plotted move in the
drawing. This is a problem because they have callouts pointing to them that don't do this moving around. Any suggestions.

Question Re: Dashes in custom linetype move when Plotted

    Hi

Are you Plotting from Modelspace or Paperspace ?

Is the LTScale, PSLTScale and PlineGen ( if using Polylines ) set correct before Plotting ?

Do you use a custom Plot Application / Routine ?

    Have a good one, Mike

Are you saying that what you see on the screen is different that what comes out on paper?

What about the plot preview - which one does it match?
What if you plot to DWF (or any other file) - same problem?
If you are using CTB files, is it using linetypes defined there?

I've had this before with a custom line type. I found that it only did it with certain printers. Check on you printer options to make sure the paper sizes are correct, thats what asa doing it for me?

Thanks for all the tips. Not had time yet to try. To answer the other questions, the plot preview matches what is on the screen, DWF and PDF are fine I think it may just be the large format Xerox8850, I am plotting from paper space.

That would lead me to believe it has to do with the Xerox driver. What if you use that same driver, but plot to file (making a plot file) - then view that in a plot file viewer[*] - same problem?

I'd be leaning toward the printer drivers as well. This may sound funny, but try plotting a DWF and see if anything happens to the linetype that way. If it comes out fine, you'll at least have a workaround until you get things fixed. If the linetype prints out wrong, then you'll pretty much need a driver update.

Joe, he said DWF was OK in his last post.
