Angry Using FDO to access either shape file or connect SDE

I have two ways to connect to the FDO eith shape file or connecting to SDE. Both ways, when i click on the lines or points, i can't see any information regarding that selection. In regular Autocad, when you click on something, you will see all the info in the properties pallette. But using FDO, you don't have that option. Is there another method to get the information.

Right click on the feature and click "Show Data Grid". Then make sure the middle button in the data grid window is toggled on. (automatic scroll to the current selection)

Probably not exactly what you want, but I like it.
